About foreigners as visitors. The worst racists are we Indians, I think. We grade people by the colur of their skin, those with "seppu" skin being superiors.Bs are way up above NBs. North Indians lok down upon Madrasis.
And we become subservient to white skinned foreigners, and turn away from an African.
Why should Akila shy away from talking to a white-skinned colleague? How are you inferior?
It is all right to show a foreigner around and give him a free dinner "Aditi devo bhava." But would you treat an African group the same way? And would you get the same treatmnet if you try to barge into a wedding here in the U.S.?
