I join Jayaram in greeting Narayanan (KN) and Rukku on his completing 80 years today and wishing them many happy returns. Narayan and I became very close a little before the wedding was fixed and I remember our talking about it when we were both returning home in our Nash Car from Central.. After the wedding, I was a regular visitor to their Egmore house all Sundays and going to the Udipi for Idli Vadai Coffee. I became a good friend of his Elder Brother Sri Ramaswami, an excellent person.

When we were attending a function in Alwarper in 1972, he asked me to take to him to  the Promoter of  Karpagam Gardens to pay for his plot and it was then he urged me to pick up a plot there. But for this I will not be in the comfortable position I am in now..
