Yesterday Vimala and I, along with Priya and Shruti, visited Thambi. His face lit up when he saw us and he spoke (even if haltingly) a few words, asking where I was coming from. He asked who Shruti was and, when told, said something about being happy to see the new generation.
Ashok is looking after Thambi with total dedication.
It is saddening to see someone who, when in good health, was so full of energy and wanting to do things, lying helpless with a painful body. We pray for his early recovery.

Rukku and I visited Thambi anna on 8/4. We were really shocked. He did not recognise Rukku though Ashok kept on shouting the name into his ear. He was restless, screaming at times, speaking incoherently, a pathetic sight. A day nurse and two night nurses are in attendance. Ashok and Indu are rendering devoted service.

It indeed is sad to hear about Thambi perippa, whom even I have seen as a very active and cheerful person!!
