Hi Facebook is full of messages saying we are already into December and no one's now thinking about the world coming to an end, hehehehe! Certainly not me - expecting two new lives to bloom soon :) Getting things ready for the US trip - with some butterflies in my tummy :P Mythili athai & Chandru mama managed to drop in for about an hour along with Leela akka and athimber. It was really nice to see them their usual cheerful and bright selves. Hope and wish the electricity travails of Kovai vasi-s end soon........... Hare Ram Gayathri

Akila's Kolu looks really lovely. It is great when a daughter takes interest and participates in our traditional functions - I miss Ramya so! This year I did not keep kolu as I spent the week in Madras attending pujas at Sringeri camp. Just being there as Acharya performed the puja, 100's of Vedic pundits chanting the Rudram-chamakam-Suktams was an experience! Thanks for the wishes to Ramya and TSS - I will tell them to see the blog page :) It's already nearly time to send Diwali wishes - time sure does whizzzz past! Hare Ram Gayathri

I have received messages of good wishes, some by phone and some through e-mail, on my birthday today.  It is overwhelming to think of the number of people dear to one who have remembered the  birthday and have  conveyed their greetings.  It was a pleasant day for me and Vimala.  We went to Kovaipudur in the morning and received the blessings of the Siddhar.  Then we briefly met Lux, NGS, Ramakrishnan and family before returning to Brindavan.  Thank you, family, for your love and goodwill.

Hi all! It's been a REAL long time since I've been here - nearly two months, I think. And a lot has happened within that time. First excitement was Ramya giving us 'The News' of her being in the family way. The baby is due in mid-Feb, 2013. A couple of months later, Rajiv-Nameeta also floored us with the same news. Their baby is due in end March. After S's retirement, we came to stay with Rajiv and Nameeta. And ended up with S landing a job here! He has taken up this assignment with ACC for two years. We have been very lucky to get this house (flat) in Mulund, close to S's office in Thane. We did have our moments of 'should we do this....or not', but in the end, whatever has to happen, will happen I suppose. And we are able to take it because of the faith that God knows what is best for us............ We have still not got landline phone connection and broadband net connection (I am making do with this Tata photon thingy). S's cell number now is: 77380-38072. Mine is still on the Madras roaming number, taking ages for the new one to get activated. S really misses the efficiency of L&T assistants, hahaha! So now we have to perform Rajiv's seemantam before I leave for the US to be with Ramya. And I will have to go there alone :( Hopefully S will join us there after Ramya's baby is born, but again we'll have to come in a month after that. Anuj's parents will be there in time to take over from me :) I have missed a lot of Birthdays and Wedding Anniversaries. Our wishes / namaskarams to all the celebrities :):) Hare Ram Gayathri
