Vichu Sowmya

Yesterday 20th April was Vichu Sowmya Wedding Anniversary and I find that Jayaram has not included it in the month's list.

Yesterday, they, along with Varshaya, have left for Cleveland where Varshaya is going to compete in a Music Competition in connection with the well-known three day Cleveland Thyagaraja Araadhana which is conducted every year this time. We went for this when Saradam and I were in Connecticut in 1995, when Varshaya was born. On the way we also attended the three day Thyagaraja Aaradhana in Baltimore where Vichu's brother Bala was staying and his wife Kalpana sang. Her Guru was D.K.Nagarajan, brother of DKJ. Pannai Sundaram's daughter Kamala's son Shankar and his family also came with us in another car and it was such a jolly trip. He is such a fan of Madurai Mani and keeps listening to his recordings and does not have recordings of anybody else.
