sorry for not responding for such a long time to the query on Sudha's whereabouts.
Every time I access the internet I seem to exit as fast despite telling myself that I should this time take time to browse, search or at least access our blog...

Sudha is at Ithaca, gone their with the data collected from the farmers, hoping that the data would be sufficient. If not she wi supposed to come down in June to mmm... the basics...

Krishnan and Hasta now have a cute little grand child - born on Ramani mama's birthday, March 24th.

Thank you perippas for you comments on Vaishnavi. Actually, there are quite a few summer camps that are conducted daily from 9am to 12pm. But I don't want to send her again to something like school and with the same timings. I just want her to attend some short classes about thrice a week. Found a few keyboard and music classes nearby. Problem is Vaishnavi says she will not go to the keyboard classes. Still looking for some good music teacher nearby. Worst case, appa would start a summer camp at home by teaching small slokas and bhajans to her hehe!!!

Vaishnavi's art is really good! Ramu C, enjoy your summer camp, hhahhaha! And I do hope you all get to go on your vacation too.
This week has been quite busy for me, that too out in the hot hot sun!
Monday, I went to Sankaralayam, Chetpet, as Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal was honouring Kailash returned yatris. My orpadi Vasanthi roped me & some more ladies as volunteers too!
Yesterday, I attended the inauguration of the Paediatric Ward at the Cancer Institute, a labour of love created by friends of Mahesh, thru the Mahesh Memorial Trust. Ravi is one of the trustees, he spoke beautifully about how this thing came to be.
Today Vasanthi had a small surgery done to her ear lobes & I was with her at the Andhra Mahila Sabha hospital.
Well, tomorrow is going to be another story. My childhood friends Uma, Prema & Annapoorni are giving a novel gift for Rajiv & Nameeta - they have arranged dinner for the inmates of Vishranti Old Age home! We will all go there by 5.30 & I have been asked to sing for about an hour to entertain them. I have selected a number of simple, mostly Tamil songs. No pakka vadyam No mike. Hope they enjoy this.

Ramya is in Delhi, rehearsing with Rama Vaidyanathan - she is singing for her dance pgms. They performed in Khajuraho on 10th. The next pgm is on 19th at Calcutta. She said she had been trying Lalitha athai's phone, but there was no response. I hope she is able to "catch" them today!!!
Prasad & family will be shifting to Kovaipudur in a week's time - can't believe that the time has already come!!!

3. There is no suitable summer programme conducted for M.Vaishnavi anywhere nearby. So, I am having my summer camp now, having a nice time with her!!
4. Sarada and I are planning a visit to Coimbatore ( also Guruvayur and Tharapuram),leaving Chennai on 2 or 3 May and reaching back Chennai on 12 May. This plan is based on Akila`s short vacation the same time.

Away for long

Belated wishes to everybody I missed wishing during my absence.

I have been out of action for quite a long time now as far as our blog is concerned. Main reason being no access to our blog anymore from office. And I just don't feel like switching on the computer at home in the evenings. Today I just forced myself to.

Vaishnavi's holidays have started and we are trying to figure out ways of keeping her engaged. Still wondering if she is ready yet to start music/dance. She is showing some inclination towards both. Anyway, my first attempt to keep her engaged is, I bought her this sand art kit from landmark today. It really is very simple and needed very little help from me. This is a picture of what we did together today.

Obituary

Smt.Sitalakshmi aka Champa, grandmother of Ramesh, passed away in
Chennai on 3 April 2009, at the ripe old age of 97. Charactarising a quality which is almost universal in the 'pukkaham' of Vidya, she had a great attachment to many in our family, an unfailing sense of humour and sound, practical common sense. A great soul who will be missed by all those who knew her. May she rest in peace.

1. Yes Ramakrishnan. Sometime from now, KN Rukku, PCJ Vimala manni and PSR Mythili will be shifting to Cbe.
2. We have settled down mostly in our new flat. Bus facility was better in our previous flat. So, Aishwarya goes by scooter after shifting here.
3. M.Vaishnavi is having a better time here in the evenings in the play ground. Many children assemble there and play till late evening.

Hi all,
I have not seen the Blog for quite some time mainly because in the morning the power is off daily two hours here in Kovaipudur and in the afternoon it is so hot that we do not feel lke doing anything. let me wish all the best to KN/Rukku on their wedding anniversary, Sriram on his birthday and also Sudha on her Birthday, though quite late. I was happy to see the photoes of all of you.
I am very happy to see that Ashok has joined the blog and I do hope we will see some contribution from him regularly.
As most of you know, Prasad is winding up his establishment in Besant Nagar and they will be shifting to Kovaipudur on 23rd April night to join us. After a couple of months we may shift to a different house in Kovaipudur. This year many in our family are shifting residence and I wonder if it has something to do with the position of the planets. In fact quite a few of our friends in Kovaipudur also are shifting.
