TV Serials

We will all agree with Akila and Ramakrishnan's views on TV serials, especially the 'mega' variey. And the way women are treated in these is quite a bit removed from reality (or am I wrong) and infuriating. The woman is there to be scolded and asked to bring coffee or tea or just go in and 'do her work'. The pity is that lady actors do not seem to stand up and fight against this kind of treatment.

Another thing is the artificial, stilted diction that is used by almost all playback speakers. Very few of them and very few of the actors who speak their own lines speak naturally.

Despite all this, we watch TV serials, or at least some of them.
