From Ramu
1. Happy birthday to Sriram. Many happy returns of the day. 2. The punyakavachanam went of well. The baby is named Amrrita Saminathan. JOKE: 3. Three friends went to their regular restaurant but found an old lady sitting in their table. They also occupied the same table and conversed like this, to drive away the old lady: Friend 1 : Do you know, I have two fathers. Friend 2 : Oh, I have three. Friend 3 : I don't know who is my father. Old lady : Will one of you bastards pass on the sugar please! ( Read in Digest long long back). Ramu

Ramu's Joke
Here is an old version of Ramu's joke:
Man to boy playing in front of a house : "Is your mummy at home ?"
Boy : Yes.
The man knocks a few times and asks "you said your mummy is at home ?"
Boy : "Yes, my house is on the next street".

1. The Punyakavachanam of the new baby of Aishwarya & Koushik is on Tuesday 29 March 2011 at their house. We seek the blessings of one and all.
JOKES: ( Real incidents took place long back ):
2. Mani went to his friend's house for the first time with a biscuit packet. At the entrance a small boy was playing and Mani gave the biscuit to him, thinking he was his friend's son. That boy took the biscuit and went into next (his) house!

Updates
As appa said, the little one looks exactly like thaatha!! Hope to be able to take some pictures on the punyaajanam (if permitted).
Gayathri akka, I absolutely agree with you. We have just lost touch on how to just be. We feel that we always need to be doing something!! Of late, I just sit back and "be dumb" and not do anything at all. It really helps for the coming week.

1. Thank you for the goodwishes & greetings on the new arrival. As usual, discussions are going on to choose a good name for the child and there are a couple of days more to decide. Aishwarya is likely to be discharged from hospital this noon. I think taking a photo of the new born will be allowed only some time later. The child very much resembles our father PSC, as of now.

The family welcomes a new arrival, a daughter born to Aiswarya (Koushik) on the 19th March 2011. We look forward to a post from Ramu with details of name etc. and a photo when it is possible. We pray to the Almighty to bless the child with excellent health and a long life full of joy and fulfillment.

Very happy birthday, Mala. Very happy to know you are fifty, and really having a memorable birthday with Kumar in Colombo. Many many happy returns of the day.
We are extremely happy that you and Kumar visited us and had lunch with us. Thankyou very much. Had we known it is going to be your 50th birthday, we probably would have given you some gift.
All the best to you.

HAHAHA! Ramu C, your jokes are just toooo good!
Yesterday when Kumar and Mala were here from your house, they were telling me that their tummies were bursting (with food & non-stop laughter).
We had a really wonderful time too. Mala wanted to go to the beach, but we just ended up chatting, without realising it becoming late!
Brought back childhood memories, the simple, uncluttered pace of life. Family vacations. Lots of time and space.
All so changed now.
Still, we tell ourselves it is good to keep busy. Yes, as for me, I do feel happy with my singing, writing and Prayas.
But I am also surprised at myself that like the younger generation, I too seem to have forgotten how to just be lazy and relax and do nothing!

1. Good to know Window Kasab. Only thing is we can not use it with confidence, as it will be under trial for ever!!
2. Joke:
Guru: If you control all your five senses for ever, what you will get?
Student : Ambulance!!

Hello
Has been reeaaly long since I posted last.. Have become a very irregular post(er) in our blog. Humble apologies. The last few months have really been hectic at work. So, not able to check mails very frequently. And I hardly check mails during weekends. No that I do not have time, but just don't feel like :(
The jokes are very nice and lively :)
