We were at Sakatapuram - a close friend had organised Chandi Homam and Ati Rudram - and it was a lovely four days there. And especially fulfilling to have Periyava's blessings on S's bday.

The last two days have passed without any time to sit at the computer - on the 18th, a half day visit to the passport office with Chandru and yesterday to Ottapalam with KN, Rukku and Chandru.  Rukku stayed back for a two-week ayurvedic treatment.

Also wishing everybody a very happy Dusserah. There was no golu at our place this year,as I have been shuttling between 2 places. So, missed all the frenzy, inviting, arranging, baking/cooking etc. Though we did have fun visiting people as always.
I am almost at the end of my porandhaathu stint and have to return to our own abode this weekend.

      Belated birthday greetings to Anupama.  I sent her an e-mail yesterday and got a nice reply.

      It is great that Ramakrishnan had such a nice birthday.  Gayahtri's post and the photo are very good.

      September and October have so many birthdays of the Family.  In our younger years, it was customary for a vadhyar to come home and do the ayushya homam.  And there was of course payasam with the sappadu.
