Hello
Wishing Mythili athai and athimber a very happy anniversary.
Thank you Perippa for posting the wedding pictures.
V's holidays officially started from the Monday after about a week's session in standard 4. School then re-opens again on 6th June. She wanted to try her hand at needle work, so bought her the simplest of anchor long stitch kits. Let's see how long her interest holds :)

Photos - Pavitra's wedding
Here are two links to some lovely pictures taken at Pavitra's wedding by Anil Bakshi, close boyhood friend of Kumar and Sekar. Hope you get, from these pics, some idea of the great fun that everyone at the wedding had! (N.B. The photographs are copyrighted.)

Puthaandu Vaazhthukkal
Our Iniya Puthaandu Nal Vaazhthukkal/Namaskarams to everybody.
Also wishing Pavithra and Adithya a very happy married life. I was going to attend the wedding, but could not due to an important client visit at work at this same time. I heard the wedding was great fun from appa, who is enjoying himself there, and rubbing it all in!!!

Pavitra, Wedding
I join Ramakrishnan in wishing every one a happy Vijaya varusham. As I type this just after 10.00 a.m. on 15th April 2013, A happy event would have just taken place in the family. Pavitra and Aditya would have tied the knot in Mathura. All of us in the family congratulate them and pray to God to bless them with a very happy married life.

VAMANAN
Gayathri,
What a terrible news. I am unable to digest it. Such a soft spoken person and devoted to music in its purest form. To think that his old parents are left behind to mourn him. So sad, also the death of his young student the same day in an accident. I listen to his tapes (I have two) often.

Vamanan
Gayathri, I share your sadness at the passing of Vamanan, and that at a young age AND leaving behind aged parents with health problems. And to know that a friend of yours has also succumbed to an accident.
I heard one live concert of Vamanan's (thanks to Gayathri) and liked it immensely. He was a musician who did not get his due in the line of recognition but will stay in our memory as a vocalist full of classical values.

I got the saddest news this morning -my Guru Vamanan passed away of kidney failure Wednesday morning. I can't bear to think his music will not be heard any more. He would have been 50 this August. His parents aged 90+ are still alive, with multiple health problems.
On top of this comes the news that one of his most promising students Tejasvi died in an accident the same afternoon.
Devastated.

Jayaram chittappa is justified - but we do not want to lose this link either. So as you say chittappa, we can watch how it goes without your regular updates and greetings. Of course we know we are ever present in your thoughts :)
The same has happened in our TMS family group mail too - the same handful of people post or respond to posts. Most are silent watchers.
With such a wonderful tool for us to keep close to family, we are not making use of it :(

I agree with Jayaraman that, considering the size of the PSC family, the participating members is abysmal, just a handful. Whether the others are at least seeing the posts once in a while is not known. All the same, I feel sad that I am going to lose an easy reference to monthly celebrities and also the posts of those who do come in. I am myself somewhat of a defaulter because somehow the day passes off before I finish some work I take upon myself. I will definitely miss the blog.

The flagging blog
The blog is once again suffering from lack of participation. I propose to take a break myself from posting lists of birthdays, birthday greetings etc. and shall only post some thing now and then when I feel like doing so. Let us see how things progress and keep our options open.
