With a truckload of high-profile relatives-by-marriage, I could practically drop names when at work(only, I should remember their relation to me.) I'm glad to be part of this family.

K.T.Ramani
Ramani (his friends know him as KTA or KT Ramani) has passed away suddenly and it has left a void particularly for us who are in Coimbatore. I have not seen him get angry and in 1959 I took his family car (a Austin A-40) from Madras to Tirupathi; due to a mistake of mine the car broke down half way up the hill; I stayed at Tirupathi for three days to get the car repaired and came to Madras and Ramani did not say a word to make me feel embarassed or hurt.
