Guru Poornima
Wishing everybody a very happy birthday :)
This year, I had the best Guru Poornima ever. We all went to Puttaparthi this year for Guru Poornima. Though Swami did not come out for Darshan on Sunday morning, we could feel His presence very much in the hall on that day. We also had a very good Darshan on Saturday evening, which more than made up for that.
My last trip to Puttaparthi was in September 2001, just before my wedding to get Swami's blessings!!! It took us sooo long to go back. I guess we need to be destined even for that :)

Guru Pooja
First I wish all the birthday boys/girls this month many happy returns. Though I have not made POSTS for everyone I have been watching everybody wishing them and I wished them too but something or other would turn up and I will go off the line.
This year the Guru Pooja was yesterday and Gayathri and Sundaresan had come to Kovaipudur for that and fully attended the Guru Pooja at the Siva Kutil and got the blessing of our Siddhar Swami. During the Guru Pooja at the Siva Kutil the Old Siddhar who is said to have lived 1000 year ago enters the body of the present Siddhar and the Pooja is done to the old Siddhar. It is a grand affair attended by at least 2000 people after which Prasadam of Puliodharai, Thayir Saadam and Jangri is given to all, enough to fill the stomach. KN,Rukku,NGS and Lux came from Brindavan to attend the Pooja and went back after that.

Dear all,
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. This year, Anuj had a rather "intellectual" birthday:) He had to go to Philadelphia for a conference and was in meetings all day with other scientists. His friends and I are planning on throwing him a party (mainly lots of food) when he returns this Sunday. And yes, perhaps we'll all go watch "Inception". Everyone's been talking about it.......supposed to be really good.

1. Gayathri, the recording of Ramya with Mr.Jayaendra - is it for any tamil film!
2. Koushik`s flat at Selaiyur is now ready and we are looking for a good tenant. There are only 4 flats, 2 first floor and one ground floor are already occupied. It is a 850 sft., 2 bed flat at Selaiyur, NEAR Bharath Engineering college. Kindly spread the word among friends.
3. Cell phone for kids in Class 1 to 8: Couple of days back there was a very heavy rain at 3.45 PM when M.Vaishnavi`s school was to close. She has to cross a very big play ground and reach the autorickshaw. If there is a cell phone with kids which can be used only to speak to parents, probably kids can have it. It should have only 2 buttons, one to recievs calls from parents & and the other, if pressed, will connect only to parents.

Ramu C, Vichu & Varshaya only were here last week, to attend Vichu's cousin's son's wedding. They left for Kovaipudur for a day's visit & then are in Puttaparthi now.
Rajiv & Nameeta arrived here this morning, Nameeta with a bad throat & fever. Ramya completed her recording for Jayendra - we still have to wait & watch how the song shapes out for public consumption!
All 5 of us are booked to be in KVP on Saturday 10th. The children fly off on 13th, & I leave on a 5 day yatra on 14th.
Nameeta wished to visit Pondicherry & we may go tomorrow if she gets better.

Ramya arrived here last week & we have been having a very busy schedule :) She had recording for a day & will be called again - we do not know when! So each day when we learn that she will not be called, we catch up with personal work.
Vichu & Varshaya came on Monday. So we had another hectic round of shopping, without wasting even a moment in the unbearable heat. We attended a double function of Ayushya homam (first b'day) cum Kanakabhishekam yesterday. Today & tomorrow V & V are busy attending a wedding. Tomorrow we too have to attend a wedding - each in a different direction, different times. On the whole, our house is like a "Kalyanam-house" now!!
Anuj's B'day is on July 18.
